General
What is Silkie Player?
Silkie Player is a media player for TVs, TV boxes and phones. It plays the M3U or Xtream Codes playlists that you add. It comes with no channels, movies or series of its own.
Does Silkie Player sell channels or playlists?
No. We don't provide, host, sell or recommend any content, playlists or subscriptions, and we have no affiliation with content providers. You need your own playlist, and you are responsible for having the right to watch its content.
Which devices are supported?
Android TV and Google TV (Google Play), Amazon Fire TV and Fire Stick, Android TV boxes, Android phones and tablets, Roku, LG Smart TVs (webOS) and Windows PCs. Samsung Smart TVs are coming soon. See the instructions.
Device Key & playlists
Where do I find my Device Key?
Open Silkie Player. The 6-character key (for example R28TSE) is on the start screen and in Settings → Device. On Roku and LG TVs it is in Settings, under “This device's code”. Keys only use letters and numbers that are easy to tell apart — there is no 0, O, 1, I or L.
Why can't the site find my key?
Check each character on the TV screen and that the app has been opened at least once with internet access. After several wrong tries the site pauses for a few minutes to protect your device.
What is the backup playlist?
A second playlist kept ready on your device. With Auto-switch on, the app moves to the backup when the main playlist stops responding and goes back by itself when it recovers.
What's the difference between M3U and Xtream Codes?
They are two ways providers give access. An M3U is a single link. Xtream Codes uses a server address plus a username and password, and usually brings the TV guide and the movie and series sections automatically. Use whichever your provider sent you.
I changed my playlist but the TV still shows the old one.
Press Reload on device on the playlist page or restart the app. The device downloads the new settings when it reloads.
What does the PIN protect?
A playlist with a PIN can't be edited or deleted on this site without the 4-digit PIN. It's useful when someone else knows your Device Key. If you forget the PIN, contact us from the device owner's email with the key.
Can I see my playlist's full link or password here?
No. For your security, usernames, passwords and full links are always partially hidden. To change them, simply enter the new details.
Activation & payment
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new device gets a free trial so you can test the app with your own playlist before paying.
How much does activation cost?
Monthly costs US$ 3 (30 days) and Quarterly costs US$ 5 (90 days). PayPal charges in US dollars; PIX charges the equivalent in Brazilian reais at the day's exchange rate. Activation is per device and covers the app only — no content is included.
How do I pay?
With PayPal (charged in US dollars) or PIX (charged in Brazilian reais at the day's rate). On the activation page, enter your Device Key, choose a plan and then the payment method. The device is activated as soon as the payment is confirmed.
I paid but my device still shows as not activated.
Restart the app. If it still isn't active after a few minutes, contact us with your Device Key and the payment receipt (PayPal or PIX).
Can I get a refund?
Please test the app during the trial before paying: an activation that has been used is not refundable, and paying doesn't fix problems with a playlist or provider. If you were charged twice or by mistake, contact us.
Can I move my activation to another device?
Activation is tied to the Device Key. If you replace a broken device, contact us and we'll look at your case.
Privacy & security
What data do you keep?
Your Device Key, the playlists you add (stored encrypted) and basic technical data needed to deliver them to your device. Read the Privacy policy.
How do I delete my data?
Delete your playlists on the playlist page, or follow the steps in Data deletion to remove everything linked to your device.
